Tom Verica is an American actor, producer and director who serves as the Co-Executive Producer on ABC's Scandal. He is a director for some episodes.

Brief BackgroundEdit

His parents are real estate agents who are of Italian descent on his father’s side and German descent on his mother’s side. He is married to Kira Arne; where he guest starred on her show, Crossing Jordan, in 2002.

Career BackgroundEdit

Tom has an illustrious career that spans twenty years in film, theatre and television. He starred for three seasons as Jack Pryor on American Dreams, NBC’s critically acclaimed television drama. His diverse film credits include Zodiac helmed by David Fincher, Flags of Our Fathers directed by Clint Eastwood, Murder by Numbers (co-starring Sandra Bullock), Red Dragon, Father’s Day, and Die Hard 2 (co-starring Bruce Willis).

He has performed on and off Broadway including the award-winning Broadway production of Craig Lucas’ Prelude to a Kiss. As a director, Tom has helmed numerous short films and television projects including multiple episodes of Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Boston Legal, Ugly Betty, and American Dreams, as well as stints on The Cleaner, Army Wives, The Deep End, Dirty Sexy Money, Men In Trees and The Beast.

Tom’s short film director credits include George and Gracie, The Bridge, and the ruthless comedy Studio City (written by Jack Coleman) which was an audience favorite as the Los Angeles International Film Festival.

He is currently appearing opposite Viola Davis on Shonda Rhimes' new hit ABC show How to Get Away With Murder airing after Scandal.
