Jackson Ryan Hurst - born February 17, 1979 in Houston, Texas - is an American television and film actor who portrayed Congressman Jacob Shaw in the Season Two premiere White Hat's Off on ABC's Scandal.


He is best known for his role as Grayson Kent on the Lifetime comedy series Drop Dead Diva. He’s guest appeared on television shows such as The Closer in 2009 and NCIS in 2010. He had a recurring role on CBS's short-lived drama Unforgettable portraying Steve Cioffi, Jr the love interest to leading lady Poppy Montgomery.

Jackson’s feature-film credits include The Mist in 2007 (his debut to film), Have Dreams, Will Travel (2007) Shorts (2009). And in 2011 he landed his first leading film role in A Bird Of The Air.

He graduated from Baylor University the school of business double majored in International Economics and Management Information Systems with a minor in Spanish. Jackson played football, soccer, basketball and baseball in high school. Before pursuing acting he had a career in finance. Jackson use to go by Ryan Hurst but the name was already taken when he entered the entertainment industry.
