Guillermo Díaz - born March 22, 1971 in New York City, New York, USA - is an American actor and comedian who portrays Huck in ABC's Scandal.

Personal Background

He grew up in Washington Heights, Manhattan, is the son of Cuban-born parents.

Guillermo is openly gay, but told Out magazine that the fact that he grew up in a rough neighborhood made it necessary to hide his orientation. “The façade of being somebody I’m really not just to protect myself definitely helped with acting.”

Career Background

Guillermo is perhaps best known for co-starring in the movie Half Baked with Dave Chappelle in 1998, he also had starring roles in 200 Cigarettes (1999), and Stonewall (1995).

He has had several TV guest appearances on such shows as Chappelle's Show, Weeds, and had appeared as the gay male nurse Angel Garcia in all 22 episodes of the lone season of Mercy on NBC.


  • In 2011, he appeared alongside Brittney Spears in her music video for her single "I Wanna Go" and took part in a scene referencing his character Scarface from Half Baked.
  • Along with his co-stars in 2009 he was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for his role on Weeds
