RecapEdit

Eli goes about his morning routine but receives a package during his breakfast. Inside is a dinosaur figurine. He attends the lecture of Sandra Potter. She takes him to her new workspace where she asks him to be her partner. He says he is in.

Olivia Pope arrives at Eli's house and tells him that Mellie Grant is sleeping with Marcus Walker. She asks for his advice and he tells her that she knows what she has to do but she doesn't want to. Eli goes to work with Sandra where he realizes that someone has bugged the workspace.

He asks his contact to run a background on Sandra but she comes back clean. He tells him that the collector their working for however doesn't exist. He goes to visit Olivia on the pretense of borrowing a record while he checks the place for bugs. He takes the record back to the workspace where he shares a drink with Sandra. He tricks her into going into the closet to "make out" but in reality interrogates her about who she's working for. He asks her what they want and she says that they want him.

He goes out of the closet and yells that if they want to talk to him he's right here. They tell him that they want him to fix the election so that Mellie wins the election. He says that he wants Sandra to walk free and that afterward they won't have any more contact.

Sandra asks him why he acted the way he did. He says he did it to protect her. They proceed to have sex. He calls his contact and they try to come up with a plan to win. They think about exposing Francisco Vargas and Jennifer Fields relationship but then decide to rig the voting machines. Olivia shows up and admonishes him for doing that. She tells him that she's fixed it so that the machines will work correctly. He tells her that she's going to lose and she asks if he has any faith in her at all.

Eli tries to convince Sandra to leave to Zanzibar so that she can be safe. She says no. Two days before the election he meets with Adam who says that he can't change what Olivia did. Samantha Ruland shows up and tells him that he's going to kill Frankie Vargas and frame Cyrus Beene or else something bad will happen to Sandra.

He meets with Adam and tells him to perform the hit on Vargas. He tells him to go set up and wait for his instructions. He also tells him that he needs to know everything about Jennifer. Eli is shown hiding beneath Vargas's stage trying to shot him but hesitating. He finally does shoot him but setups Adam to take the fall.

He goes back to tell Samantha to let Sandra go since he's done what was asked of him. Eli says he's done. They tell him no that they know what his weakness is: Sandra. He tells them that he has no weaknesses and he shoots Sandra in the head. They show him a picture of Olivia and say that if he doesn't do what they say they'll kill her. He agrees.

Olivia shows up at the workspace to visit Eli. She asks him if it was him who killed Frankie Vargas. He says no and she says she doesn't believe him. He tells her that he is her father not a predator. He says that Cyrus was behind the shooting and that he's the most dangerous predator. He tells her that she has a second chance at the oval. Olivia leaves leaving Eli alone with Sandra's body.
