Columbus Keith Short Jr. – born September 19, 1982 in Kansas City, Missouri – is an American actor, singer and choreographer who portrayed Harrison Wright on ABC's Scandal.

Personal Background

He started entertaining at the age of three by putting on shows for his parent’s enjoyment; whether impersonating relatives, dancing or just making people laugh everyone sensed something special about him. Lucky for him his family relocated to Los Angeles.

Columbus attended Marcos De Niza High School in Tempe, Arizona, as well as El Segundo High School and the Orange County High School of the Arts.

As a senior in high school Columbus was offered an opportunity to graduate two months early in order to see the world with the traveling production of the Broadway show Stomp! After a couple of years on the road with the famed dance troop, he parlayed his professional success into a stint as the choreographer of Britney Spears In The Zone tour. He is a very versatile Renaissance Man who is also a writer, musician and director, he came off the road to pursue his primary passion, acting.

Career Background

Columbus was five years old when his family relocated to Los Angeles and he immediately began working in a youth theatre program. By his early teens he had landed work in such television campaigns as Mountain Dew, Denny’s Restaurant, Nike and Pizza Hut among a few.

He is known for choreographing Britney Spears’Onyx Hotel Tour” and has also worked with Brian Friedman of So You Think You Can Dance fame. As an actor he is best known for his roles in the films Stomp the Yard, Cadillac Records, Armored, and The Losers.
